The Helm Foundation scholarship initiative was inspired by founder Marc Helm and his desire to help hardworking students overcome financial barriers to higher education. After meeting a local student struggling to afford everyday college expenses despite receiving financial aid, Marc stepped in to provide ongoing support so she could stay focused on her education and future goals.
The experience revealed how many students face hidden financial pressures even after earning college acceptance and scholarships. By helping cover essential educational and living expenses, the program allows students to focus on learning, growth, and long-term success rather than financial uncertainty.
